Ingredients
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 fresh jalapeños, seeded and finely diced (reserve some slices for garnish)
- 1 can (4 oz) diced green chiles, drained
- 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/3 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch skillet or baking dish with non-stick spray or a little butter.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese using a hand mixer or stiff spatula until it is smooth and creamy.
- Add the sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until fully combined and uniform.
- Fold in the diced fresh jalapeños, drained green chiles, shredded cheddar cheese, and mozzarella cheese until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- Spread the dip mixture evenly into your prepared baking dish or skillet, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- In a small bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, grated parmesan cheese, and melted butter. Mix with a fork until the crumbs are evenly coated.
- Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture generously over the top of the dip.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbling around the edges and the topping is a golden brown color. Let cool for 5 minutes before garnishing with fresh cilantro and extra jalapeño slices.
Notes
Serve this dip with sturdy tortilla chips, toasted baguette slices, or fresh vegetable sticks like celery and carrots. For a milder dip, ensure all seeds and membranes are removed from the jalapeños. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven or microwave.
