Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, plus more for coating
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Salt to taste
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, minced garlic, chopped onion, breadcrumbs, milk, beaten egg, soy sauce, chili flakes, smoked paprika, black pepper, cumin, and parsley. Season with salt to taste. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Shape the beef mixture into small, cylindrical croquettes, about 1-2 inches in length. Roll each croquette in breadcrumbs, ensuring they are fully coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Carefully place the croquettes in the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the fried croquettes from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Serve the spicy garlic beef croquettes immediately while hot and crispy. Garnish with extra parsley, if desired. Enjoy!
Notes
For an extra crispy coating, double-dip the croquettes in breadcrumbs. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as sriracha mayo or sweet chili sauce. These croquettes can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator until ready to fry. To reheat, bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes, or until heated through.
