Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs ground turkey
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 slices turkey bacon
- 4 hamburger buns, toasted
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, red onion
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Form into 4 patties.
- Cook turkey bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Set aside on a paper towel-lined plate.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Grill turkey burgers for 5-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- In the last minute of grilling, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each burger to melt.
- Spread peanut butter on the top bun of each burger. Assemble burgers with lettuce, tomato, and red onion (if using). Top with crispy turkey bacon and the cheesy turkey patty. Serve immediately.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the ground turkey mixture. You can also use different types of cheese, such as pepper jack or Swiss. Store leftover burgers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
