Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients: paprika, kosher salt, garlic powder, onion flakes, black pepper, cayenne pepper, white pepper, dried thyme, dried oregano, cumin, and smoked paprika.
- Whisk the mixture thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly distributed and there are no clumps.
- Transfer the homemade Slap Ya Mama seasoning to an airtight container. Store in a cool, dark place for optimal freshness and flavor.
Notes
Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to control the heat level. For a milder seasoning, reduce or omit the cayenne pepper entirely. For a spicier blend, add more cayenne pepper or a pinch of chili flakes. This seasoning can be used as a dry rub for meats, added to soups and stews, or sprinkled on vegetables before roasting. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dark place for up to 6 months. For best results, use within 3 months.
