This vibrant green Grinch Punch is the ultimate festive drink for your holiday celebrations. A fizzy, frothy combination of lime sherbet, pineapple juice, and green Hawaiian Punch that tastes as good as it looks. It is a kid-friendly mocktail that steals the show at every Christmas party.

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 gallon Green Hawaiian Punch, chilled
  • 1 (46 oz) can pineapple juice, chilled
  • 1 (2 liter) bottle lemon-lime soda (like Sprite or 7Up), chilled
  • 1/2 gallon lime sherbet
  • Red sanding sugar, for rimming glasses
  • Simple syrup or water, for rimming
  • Maraschino cherries or strawberry slices, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the glasses by dipping the rims first in a shallow dish of simple syrup or water, then into a shallow dish of red sanding sugar to coat the edges evenly. Set aside.
  2. In a large punch bowl or beverage dispenser, combine the chilled Green Hawaiian Punch and pineapple juice. Stir gently to mix.
  3. Just before you are ready to serve, slowly pour in the lemon-lime soda to preserve the carbonation.
  4. Add large scoops of lime sherbet carefully into the punch bowl. The sherbet will react with the soda to create a fun, foamy green top.
  5. Ladle into the rimmed glasses immediately, ensuring each serving gets a bit of the creamy foam. Garnish with a cherry or strawberry heart if desired.

Notes

For the best presentation, add the sherbet immediately before guests arrive so it is nice and frothy. If the punch warms up, you can add ice rings made of frozen Hawaiian punch so it doesn’t dilute the flavor. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge, but the carbonation and sherbet foam will subside.
