- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
- Chopped green onions, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, chili garlic sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water until smooth. Add to the sauce mixture and whisk to combine.
- Place chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Pour the sauce over the chicken, ensuring each piece is evenly coated.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, if desired. Serve hot with rice or quinoa.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add more chili garlic sauce to the sauce. You can also marinate the chicken in the sauce for at least 30 minutes before baking for enhanced flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
