An irresistible twist on a classic! This Crunchy Chicken Caesar Sandwich takes crispy chicken cutlets, creamy Caesar dressing, and crunchy lettuce, all piled high on a toasted bun for the ultimate lunch or dinner.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil, for frying
  • 4 hamburger buns, toasted
  • 1 cup Caesar dressing
  • 4 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1/2 cup croutons, crushed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: Place chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut each breast in half.
  2. Set up a breading station: In three separate shallow dishes, place flour, beaten eggs, and a mixture of panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Bread the chicken: Dredge each chicken piece in flour, then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat thoroughly with the panko breadcrumb mixture. Press firmly to ensure the breadcrumbs adhere.
  4. Fry the chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Carefully place breaded chicken pieces in the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Assemble the sandwiches: Spread Caesar dressing on both halves of each toasted bun. Layer chopped romaine lettuce and fried chicken on the bottom bun. Sprinkle crushed croutons over the chicken. Top with the other half of the bun.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy your Crunchy Chicken Caesar Sandwich.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in Italian dressing for 30 minutes before breading. Store leftover chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer to maintain crispiness. Add sliced tomatoes or turkey turkey bacon for extra deliciousness. Serve with a side of coleslaw or potato salad.
