Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to preheat. Otherwise, lightly flour a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
- Gently stretch or roll out your pizza dough on the prepared baking surface to your desired thickness (typically a 10-12 inch circle or rectangle). Brush the edges lightly with extra virgin olive oil.
- In a small bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 tablespoon of honey, sea salt, black pepper, and fresh lemon zest. Mix until just combined and creamy.
- Carefully spread the seasoned ricotta mixture evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border for the crust. Arrange the fresh blackberries artfully over the ricotta.
- Transfer the pizza to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the ricotta is slightly set and bubbly. Keep an eye on it to prevent over-browning.
- Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven. Drizzle generously with additional honey and scatter the fresh basil leaves over the top. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving immediately.
