Ingredients
- 1 pound salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
- Chopped green onions, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic powder, ginger powder, and black pepper.
- Add the salmon cubes to the bowl and toss to coat evenly. Sprinkle cornstarch over the salmon and toss again until all pieces are coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the salmon bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. You may need to cook in batches.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and slightly crispy on the edges.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
For extra crispy salmon bites, spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil before adding the salmon. Store leftover salmon bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes to restore crispness. For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade. Serve with rice, noodles, or a side salad for a complete meal.
